Mario Martins joined Cornerstone Building and Property Services in 2020 as a Project Manager focused on the Canadian Market residing in Toronto. Mario brings over 20 years of experience in the construction industry in both residential and commercial building construction as a superintendent, project manager and independent contractor. His experience working for top leading retailers includes, Expedia Cruise Ship Centres, Renin, and Intercity Realty Inc. to name a few. As a Project Manager, his responsibilities include: Being the primary contact for client and Sub-trades; Arranging for inspections; Obtaining, on the Client’s behalf, closing permits and deficiency lists, required approvals, licenses and permits from municipal and governmental authorities having jurisdiction over the Project; Maintaining its occupancy and workflow when required; On-Site Safety Compliance and Safety Protocols; Intermediate Problem resolution where required; Quality Control; Sub-trade coordination with Site Super and trades and offering time saving and cost saving measures where possible. He is focused on maintaining an exceptional relationship with the clients as well as his teams of subcontractors. His skill Set includes: Develop, plan and execute project goals, budgets, schedules, labour and material costs; Review blueprints/drawings to gain understanding of work scope; Responsible for hiring workers and develop a time schedule in order for the project to flow from start to finish; Supervise day-to day work activities; Ensure on-site safety program and monitor and inspect the work of contractors and other third parties.
